The Chebucto Hiking Club has initiated a new draw on their scheduled walks. All of the active members (those who have paid up memberships), who attend the scheduled walk, have their names added to the pot automatically for the draw. So if by chance you are one of those who have neglected to renew your membership for this year, you will be missing out on eligibility for these draws. If you can't remember if you have renewed, contact Dorothy Turner, Membership Chair; she keeps records and can let you know your membership status.

Membership renewal fees are a bargain and serve to ensure that all members are kept informed of the club's activities. With the help of a few generous sponsors, we have been able to keep our fees low to benefit you.

As of December 31, 2007 the Chebucto Hiking Club has 107 active members.  Approximately a quarter of the membership is male and overall the ages run from pre-teen to senior citizens. A few diehards show up despite the weather while most tend to be fair weather walkers. Scheduled walks are rarely cancelled, as in once in five years type of thing; so if you show up, there will be someone ready to accompany you on the walk.
