Using Email and the Editor
Objectives
To teach the basics of our mail program (PINE) and online editor
(PICO).
To give resources to users to enable them to further explore the capabilities
of Pine and Pico. After taking this course (and User Training 1), users
should have the ability to find help on the system.
Prerequisites
User Training 1 (Introduction to CCN)
or equivalent experience.
Participants must have a CCN account (i.e.
be registered CCN users), otherwise they will not be able to access PINE
or PICO.

Editor (PICO)
What is an editor? Why might I need to learn the Pine Integrated
Composer?
- Same as editor used in Pine to compose messages
- All editor commands the same except for:
- ^X means exit in PICO
- ^O means write out
- ^C means show current position of cursor
- ^G to get help
